West Rocklin Exploding With New Homes
New home builders in West Rocklin are going gangbusters!
I was out driving around in West Rocklin today to see how far the new construction has come in the last month or so and I couldn’t believe how quickly these developments have come in just a few months.
The map below outlines just where the construction is happening.
Most of the construction is happening in Whitney Ranch where development essentially ceased in 2007. There is still a lot of land out there to be developed that could result in 1000 or more additional homes in the area.
That equates to 2000 more automobiles in the area with only real one way out through the Sunset Blvd exit onto Hwy 65. Hopefully Whitney Ranch Parkway will be extended out to Hwy 65 as it appears it was made to but we’ll see.
Also, with that much new construction going up, what will happen to the existing home market in this area of Rocklin? Seems to me with that much competition seller’s of existing homes might want to think about selling sooner than later to preserve value.
Obviously all of the newly constructed homes won’t come on the market at the same time so perhaps the affect on the existing home market will be minimal.
Sure is exciting to see things getting back to what has been normal for our area. It’s about time.
