Pizza In Rocklin: il pizzaiolo
It’s That Fancy Pizza
My son had camp at Lazer Craze camp today so I thought, on the recommendation of my wife and son, that I’d try the pizza at il pizzaiolo in the Blue Oaks Century Theater parking lot. Everyone seemed to enjoy it so I thought maybe I would too.
Well…I did! It was really good pizza. It’s the gourmet pizza that you only used to find in San Francisco and L.A. I had the Nebrodi – prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, shaved parmesan and fresh arugula. See? Gourmet pizza. (photos in the gallery below)
These are not ingredients I would typically order on a pizza but it was very good. The crust was a little thicker than I thought it would be but it didn’t matter. It was really tasty.
I tend to go for Cool River/Old Town Pizza type of menu’s with an occasional Celestino’s thrown in for a change but this was a very distinct and value packed change.
My pizza and a soda was just shy of $12. I didn’t finish all of the pizza, saved it for later so I would say it was a very good value.
To review, great pizza, excellent value = I’ll be going back.
