Christmas Lights In Rocklin

How Much Stuff Can Someone Fit In Their Yard?

Christmas DogChristmas is always a fun time of year.  This year, we’ve had all kinds of weather that we usually, or at least for the last few years, don’t get so it’s seemed more winter like than an Indian Summer.  It feels like Christmas time.

My son loves to get out and see the lights folks put up.  We have a street near us, Taft Drive, where the neighbors between Turnstone and McKinley go nutz with lights.  One family has their own radio station that plays a variety of Christmas songs choreographed with the lights.  Pretty darn cool.

When I lived in Monterey, one of the neighboring cities, Pacific Grove, had a street that was called Candy Cane Lane..those folks when beyond nutz for decorations.  Unrivaled so far as I’ve seen in this area although, the Pebble Creek/Strand Road area of Rocklin is pretty well decked out.

Some evenings, my son, wife and I take a short drive around looking for cool light displays.  He loves Christmas and especially doing all of the fun things that make it really feel like Christmas to him.  Going to see the snow, ice skating, picking out a tree..you know, Christmas stuff.

In that vein, I thought I’d post a pic or two of some of the lights we’ve seen around town.  I hope you like them.  Also, if you know of any other post worthy light displays, let me know and I’ll post them here.

Here’s one we saw last week in West Roseville off of Laurel Crest near the intersection of Pleasant Grove and Lonetree.  Click on it and it should get bigger.

Laurel Crest

There is so much stuff in the front yard that they must have one of those military conex’s in the back to store it all.  Smile

I’ll post more as I see them.  Enjoy!
