“AUTOMATICALLY SAVE UP TO $10,000”
Realtor Advertising Is Confusing
I just got this postcard in the mail and I’m trying to figure it out. It says “Automatically Save Up To $10,000” but nowhere on the card does it say how I would save said $10,000. I think this is actually illegal advertising so far as the Bureau of Real Estate is concerned. I could be wrong but that said, it completely lacks details. I guess it’s a “call for more information”
I blacked out the bottom part and names for obvious reasons. When I first got into the business, there was a lot of this kind of advertising going on. “If I don’t sell it, I’ll by it” kind of thing. I find that kind of advertising very disingenuous. I don’t know of a single Realtor whose ever bought a home because it didn’t sell.
I would say this. If you price your home to sell correctly then yes you’d save even more than $10,000 generally speaking. I guess that’s what that means. Still…lol.
