Finding A Lender
The First Step In The Home Buying Process
Finding a good lender is so incredibly important now more than ever. There is still, even with all of the regulations being imposed upon lenders by the government, so many incompetent lenders and a lot of fraud.
Sadly, many of these lenders are from online sources.
Real estate is local. You wouldn’t want a Realtor from Seattle to help you buy a home in San Diego, why would you want a lender in Denver to help you with a home loan in Sacramento?
You’ll find the best lenders through your Realtor referrals. They work together and will help you in every way they can. They are a team. These lenders depend on business from Realtors. They are local and are working in partnership with the Realtor who has referred them.
Incompetent lenders don’t last on the local level.
These partnerships, between lenders and Realtors, go along way to helping you to get the best rates, terms and, above all, the best service you can get. Locally.
An online broker has no allegiance to your Realtor for their business. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard from an online lender who honestly didn’t know guidelines of government based loans or would tell my buyer something that we either couldn’t figure out or something I verified was not true.
Your best bet in picking a lender is getting a referral from your Realtor.
My Lending Referrals
Below are my lending referrals. I have worked with these people and trust them to handle my own personal business as well as the business of my clients. I trust them as professionals and friends.
Additionally, please understand that I receive no compensation for referring them or including them on my site. This is unprofessional, unethical and illegal. I refer them as I truly believe they represent my sense of professionalism and service to my clients.
Mary Jo Payne, Vice President of Mortgage Lending, Guaranteed Rate, 1230 High Street, Suite 118A, Auburn, CA 95603, NMLS# 295885
Mary Jo and I are Rotarians. I’m in the Roseville Rotary Club and she’s in the Auburn Downtown Club . Rotary Clubs worldwide have what we call a 4 way test by which all of the things we say or do are judged.
#1 Is it the truth? #2 Is it fair to all concerned? #3 Is it beneficial to all concerned? #4 Will it bring goodwill and better friendships? Mary Jo and Jack Arney below are both examples of people who I know personally live by the 4-way test.
You can’t go wrong with any of my lender referrals. They are among finest community leaders in our area.
Jack Arney, Broker/Owner, Infinity Financial Mortgage, 916-257-5880, jack.arney@gmail.com NMLS# 292321, DRE# 01423901

He is the sitting Vice President of the Rotary Club of Roseville, an enormous commitment, and I look forward to working with him in the community.
With all of my referrals, if there are any issues whatsoever, I am accountable and will help you to resolve any and all issues that arise.
